2 in 1 Challenge Card

Good evening!

I thought I would upload my card which is going to be for the Mojo monday week 84 (sketch) challenge and also PTW challenge.

The sketch to work with from Mojo Monday was brilliant (I love being given a starting point to make a card) and PTW's theme was spots and stripes so I merged the two to produce... This!

As the image was stamped onto acetate this is a scan of my card.

The roses are from a Joanna Sheen stamp set coloured from behind with copics, the cs is Bazzil Bling and the papers are from an old HOTP paper pad. My sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkadoo inked and embossed.

Now I just have to find some ill person to give it to, lol! No only joking, it will go in the box with all the rest!!

TFL, take care

Dottie Sunday Challenge - Teenager

Hi All,

the challenge over at Dottie's World this week was set by Adele and her challenge was to make a card using a charmed download suitable for a teenager. I actually made two this week!

The first card was something I have seen many times but never tried myself, a free standing pop up card. I had a bit of a sulk with this one I have to admit 'cos DD1 told me it was a bit boring for an 18th card (and there I was quite chuffed that I had manage to do it at all ) so after a bit of embellishing the finished card looks like this...
BTW DD1 likes it now Madison's dress is glittered and there are some ribbons. After seeing Karens post today I will have to give combining images a go.

My second card is for a younger teen and was made using Madison so Chic (shes so cute) coloured with wc and copics. My base card was from an old Create and Craft kit I had, touched up with some metallic pens and some glamor dust. The backing paper for madison is from Smirk with a little bit of lemon foil card behind that. The peel off was just coloured with my copics.

DD2 is now hollering so I will have to go for now.
TFL, take care

CCT Challenge 57

Challenge 57 Getting Edgy

For this weeks challenge we would like you to either tear, sand, distress or sew the edges of your card.

For the CCT challenge this week I just had to use Mikey, he is new to the digital downloads over at Charmed Cards and Crafts.

Wouldn't you be so happy if your daughter to brought him home!. Alas, here he is with his girlfriend Madison, I have to say they really do make a cute couple though.

Both were coloured with my copics, while doing Madison's hair I must have been dreaming of days gone by cos' my hair used to look just like this,Lol.

I must have had another mad moment while making this card because I really did stitch all around the edge of my frame with some black metallic thread (DH usually does the stitching in our house, he has more patience I think). I tore and distressed some Brenda Pinnick paper for the back of my couple and inked up some cs for the main background. The sentiment is a inkadinkadoo stamp which was also stamped then torn and a touch of ribbon added.
Awww! They look so sweet together, don't they?
Until next time, TFL

2 in 1 Challenge

A quick upload this evening. I made this card for 2 challenges , Mojo Monday week 83 sketch and also CCT - Floral Fantasy. The only trouble with that is the punched and glittered flowers didn't show up too well with the flash, nevermind the K & co papers are still floral.

I cut all of the pieces on the robo, because I am too slapdash to cut anything with accuracy!! I only hope I have stuck them down straight, another big fault of mine, Lol (should I really be a crafter??).

The other items I used were Bazzill Bling cs, my gorjuss stamp and a wee bit of ribbon. I hope you like it, though it really does look better in daylight.

Bye for now, TFL

Sunday Challenge - Christmas

Hiya,

it's soon got around to Sunday again hasn't it? I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter break and managed to get a little crafting in too.

The Sunday challenge over at Dottie's World this week was set by Karen here is what she had to say.

It's my turn to set the challenge and you know how I like to be awkward, hehehe, so here it is: the challenge this time is......
CHRISTMAS! Yes really! The weather is getting warmer but lets not forget that cosy feeling we only get at Christmas. It's never too early to start preparing for the big day so this time I want to see a Christmas project, what you do is up to you as long as you include a Charmed download.

So here is my take on it.

This is the first time I have made a shadow box card with my robo, the template was from the UKScrappers forum designed by Emerald. The shooting star was also a craft robo template designed by Lucille aren't they fab? Thank you both.

The image I chose is Madison in the mountains, she was printed onto pearl embossed paper. This makes the colouring abit runny looking but I quite like that.

The background is a free clipart found on the web. The papers are some papermainia that I thought would be tucked away for a while Lol. As usual a bit of bling and glitter to finish off.

CCT Marshmallows and Chocolate

Hi,

I thought I had missed the deadline for this challenge, phew! I remembered to upload just in time.

It was a colour challenge this week, pink and brown, sweet!

Here is what I came up with...

The materials used are:

A Gorjuss stamp - girl with bird, coloured with Copics. Sentiment stamp from the Daisy and Dandelion stamp set.

White A5 card.

Brenda Pinnick pink paper.

Brown embossed paper from a create and craft paper pad.

Bazzil bling brown cardstock, (swirls designed in inkscape and cut on Robo).

A Papermania bloom and brad with a cuttlebugged diecut flower added.

A few clear gems coloured with copics, brown and pink.

Umm.. and I think that is it.

TFL, take care

Another Charmed Download card

Hi,

I hope everyone is enjoying their bank holiday Friday!

While it is quiet here I thought I would upload my other card which was going to be for the Dotties World Sunday challenge (until the family said it wasn't really bright).
This is another Charmed image that I had printed on pearl embossed paper and coloured. The sentiment rub on is from a K&Co Margo set. The other papers are um... from various pads, I'm sorry I am terrible at naming paper without having it right infront of me. I do know that the ferns were a pearl cs that I printed pale green and cut on robo Lol, not much help I lnow.
If I don't get back sooner I hope you all have a lovely Easter.

Papertake Weekly Challenge Sketch12

Hi All,
this is my entry for the papertake weekly challenge sketch. I was intending to just take my time and started potting about late last night to bring elements together for the card but DD1 told me she needed a card for this morning so it ended up being a little rushed.
I used my Smirk stamps and papers and the cupcake was from my Daisy and Dandelion stamp set. The base card is the other half of the A4 foiled card that I used for my Dottie's World challenge. With a few ribbons and gems added, DD1 took the card for her friend just after I managed to take this photo.
Its funny how these little stamps remind me so much of DD1 and friends.

As always TFL.

All Things Bright and Beautiful.....

The title says it all, doesn't it. It was Juliet's turn to set this weeks Sunday challenge over at Dottie's World and Bright and Beautiful is the theme.
I actually think this card looks brighter in real life, but the image alone is beautiful (as they all are it's always difficult to pick which one to use). For this challenge I chose Madison and printed her out on pearl embossed paper and coloured her with copics giving her a fun animal print dress, Lol. Madison's background is some K & Co sparkly sweet paper, purple cs and a touch of yellow glitter card. The pink foiling was already on the card ( A4 cut to size) and the blooms are papermania.
As it's getting late I will tootling off now.
Here is my card, TFL.

Mojo Monday Sketch

A quick drop in this morning and another challenge card. This one is for Mojo Monday's sketch. For this I used my other Gorjuss stamp (just a girl), papers from my Saucerie pack, conqueror cardstock for the main card and some buttons and ribbon. I don't know if I really like this card or not, I like the colours and the stamp but I think there is something missing!!

Here it is anyway.

Cute card Thursday, Challenge 54 Citrus colours

The challenge this week on CCT was to use citrus colours.

My card has plenty, I think. I used my Gorjuss stamp (a little bird told me), the stool was from a Kars clear stamp set coloured with copics. The papers are Doodlebug primary candy dots, which were in a fab paper pack from Charmed cards and crafts (on sale too!) and also a piece from an old HOTP pad. The sentiment circle is a rubber stamp from Dovecraft which I embossed, with a coloured peel off added over the top. Then a little ribbon and gems to finish.

You will have to excuse the rubbishy pic, I always seem to get them cock-eyed and cropping doesn't help, Lol.

You'd Better Shape Up

This week's Sunday Challenge over at Dottie's World was set by Louise.

You might have spotted that I'm a bit addicted to making shaped cards so I've decided to go with what I love and challenge you all to make a shaped card using one of the Charmed digi stamps. When I say shaped I mean it can be any shape except the usual square or rectangle.

The design team came up with some beautiful cards as always, if you haven't seen them yet nip over for a peek.
My card was really my DH's idea, I wanted to make a Madison card but he thought Dottie would be better for his egg card creation, Lol. This is what we (I)came up with.
BTW I had a bit of an oops! moment here, I forgot to weld my grass to the egg shape for the base in the beginning. Oval cards don't stand up they just roll!!!

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it.

I mainly used oddments of glittercard and papers for the flowers cut with my cuttlebug. The grass and outer shell are Bazzill cardstock cut on my robo. Dottie is from the Bumper christmas selection download over at Charmed cards and crafts and she was coloured with Copic markers. You might notice i'm still a bit heavy handed with the copics but i'm sure I will get the hang of it eventually. Thanks for popping by, hopefully I will get the chance to come back again soon (there has to be some days without drama's, right?)
