Twice as Nice - Sunday Challenge

Twice as Nice.......
I would like you to use two or more charmed downloads on your creations this week. You can mix and match, duplicate an image, resize, whatever you fancy but I need to see two or more images.

This week's challenge over at Dottie's World was set by Adele, the DT came up with some spectcular cards to give us inspiration.

I decided to mix Dottie with Madison with a background from the Girls about town set.

All of the images were coloured with you- know -what, the papers are scribble scrabble Felicity (I think, from QVC) and Saucerie, Although it is pretty hard to see from the photo the letters down the side say Choccy Easter which I thought suited little Dotties image.

Another fun challenge, TFL.

Better Late Than Never

What a weekend!

DH and DD2 went away to Paris for a mini break, leaving me DD1 and Marley (our dog) to our own devices. Lol, I plucked up the courage... and bought myself a set of Copics!! They are fab, although my colouring skills at the moment leave a lot to be desired.

Left without the camera, I had to leave my post until today, so I could upload the pics of my latest cards.

Of course a Mothers Day card.

For this I used my new Tilda stamp (coloured with Copics) with some K&Co and Brenda Pinnick Saucerie papers.

I cut the card shape on my robo added a little aperture for the shaker element and also a shrink plastic Tilda to finish. Mum really liked it.

Next was a birthday card for DD1, I saw the Smirk rubber stamps and thought of her straight away! (in the nicest possible way). This card virtually made itself with the Smirk papers and rubber stamp all I really did was added a frame and the 17 another little shrink plastic image and a peel off sticker (coloured in with Copics, Did I mention I got some Copics???)

I hope you all had a brilliant weekend too and congratulations to Jac for winning all of the goodies from the Dotties World challenge..

Thanks for popping by

Mojo Monday - sketch

This is this weeks sketch over on Mojo Monday.

How I did mine: I used my robo to cut a frame for my card, I placed this on my base card which I had covered with patterned papers and ribbon. I stamped my image then coloured it with brush markers (not Copic, :o( ), I bought some glamor dust yesterday so I had a play. My teddy looks very twinkley now, don't you think?

I have to go now, coz all hell is breaking loose around me!! Thanks for looking, cya soon.

Lovin' it, lovin' it, lovin' it!

OooooH!!

So many things that I am loving this week. Taking part in sketch challenges, glamor dust (so twinkley) and looking at loads and loads of blogs.

I have made a card for the sketch challenge on Mojo Monday here is the sketch to follow.

I used my robo to cut a frame for my card, covered the based with patterned papers and did a bit of faux stitching ( I will have to try the real thing sometime). I rubber stamped my image which I coloured then sprinkled glamor dust on. I am quite happy with the result, so here it is.

Sunday Challenge -sketch

Hi, just a quickie tonight!

Here is the brief for the Sunday Challenge over on Dotties World, set by Karen.

Right, onto the challenge! Here is my sketch:

The scalloped edge merely depict some sort of fancy edge. It doesn't have to be scallops but you MUST provide a fancy edge of some description, this is not an element that can be changed.
I made my card up today, in between washing, ironing, walking my dog and everything else you have to fit in on a Sunday. Weekends need to be much longer, don't you think??
I cut my fancy border and heart on my robo, made in inkscape using a dingbat and a rectangle, Lol.
I used my Holly download, which was coloured, embossed then flower soft was added to her hat. A few brads to embellish onto card /paper/vellum from Create and craft which haven't really been out of the drawer. Hope you like it.

That's it for now, thanks for looking.

CCT Challenge

This is my entry for the CCT challenge. I have been thinking about getting rid of some of my unused, ancient stash but decided to try using some of it up first! The papers are Dovecraft Fantasy, which I colour tinted. The tag and scallop edging were cut on robo from paper/card oddments. The cute stamp is my new set Bubbles and Squeak.
Hope you have a great weekend! TFL

From the World Tour

Hi, it's me again

I have tried hard to resist but failed. After spending the day with DH on his birthday Aww! I just had to make a card with the new Holly and Madison World tour download. Not only did I use the fab image of Madison in Venice but also some new (to me) stash delivered this morning bought from the marketplace on the UKScrappers website, what a bargain.

Sunday Challenge

Hiya,

Before I start I would just like to thank everyone who has visited my blog! I'm still getting to grips with blogging so I apologise if I have not got round to replying or getting to your blog yet, but I will!!

Sunday challenge......Get the Feeling (From Dottie's World)
Hi Nicola here and its my turn to set the Sunday Challenge so Im going to choose....Get the feeling!!!!!I would like to see some kind of fabric incorperated in the card or item, it could be felt, ribbon, lace, cotton etc and ofcourse a Charmed Cards and crafts download.

This challenge came at just the right time for me, as I was already making a card for my DH's birthday on Monday. I have used velvet paper (hope this counts) which I printed on a background from the Dottie's Christmas bumper download and also the Ooh La La image from the Holly and Madison collection. I also used my craft robo for the card and title cutting. TFL

Friday 6th March 2009

I have quite a few Birthdays coming up this month so I have been trying out my digital downloads from Charmed cards and Crafts. Give them a go they are fantastic.

This one is for my friend at work Anne, who loves gardening. I used the Holly image which I coloured then embossed, isn't she sweet?

Thursday 5th March

The date is the only thing I am sure about today!!!

With a little nudge from Louise from Crafts by Louly, I have decided to give blogging a go (nothing ventured, nothing gained eh!). The main reason is I suppose, to show all the lovely people who's blogs I have been lurking on that I am interested in what they do and that I am keen to try new things myself (not always successfully though).
Inspire me Challenge! from Dottie's World.

When I first saw the cakes in the photo my thoughts were Wow! I bet I could eat all of those.Mmmm...

However, when I started working on my card here is what I came up with! Some underlying reason for the cake stand to be tilting with the weight of the cake. I think a diet is on the cards for me, Lol.
Anyway thanks for stopping by and hopefully we can meet up again later.
