Simon Says Stamp and Show - Anything Lord Tim of Holtz

Evening All
I have just uploaded my piece for this weeks SSSAS challenge which is to make something Tim Holtz inspired. I really loved how Tim used deep edged canvases to make a book (you can see it in his gallery www.timholtz.com).
So I decided to make a jewellery box, mind you it may only fit a few earrings in it the niche isn't very big. I had a great time making this, lots of perfect pearls, a key I made with resin and the grunge paper roses not to mention all the fab Tim Holtz fittings. those foundations box feet are gorgeous.

Simon Says Stamp and Show - Wendy Vecchi Style

hi
this is a very late entry to the SSSAS challenge. Infact it may be too late, so apologies for any spelling mistakes, missed words or gaffs like that.
My Wendy Vecchi inspired piece has some recycling involved again, this time with shoes (this is not a spelling error, I did say shoes!).
I salvaged some shoe soles from work, old samples that would otherwise be thrown away. So the dots, diamonds and crosshatched you see stamped here are all from shoes, btw so is the bird and cage made from leather.

I think I will have to leave it there and add my entry now.

Thanks for looking, if you get the chance.

Simon Says Stamp and Show - Things with Wings

Hiya!
Have you seen the first challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show? The theme is Things With Wings.
The piece I am entering started with a salvaged phototframe back, DH threw it away but I decided it might come in handy (isn't that always the case). I covered it with Claudine Hellmuth's sticky backed canvas, did quite a bit of stamping and used my TH diecuts for the centrepiece. I think it needs more but DH kept saying NO!No!no!
I used quite a lot of perfect pearls on this, especially on my TSS metal bird but it hasn't been caught by the camera very well, the butterfly is also covered in distress stickles.

Thanks for looking.

Gingersnap Creations GC65 Famous Painters/Paintings

I thought I would be brave and have a go at the above challenge from Gingersnap Creations. Since I don't have any famous painting stamps I got out my distress inks and had a bash at painting myself!
I really don't think LS Lowry has anything to worry about, lol. But.. it was fun to do.
To have a go yourself click on Gingersnap Creations in my challenge list.

Mojo150 Contest

Well Hello Again!

Tonight I made a card for Mojo Monday Contest Challenge.
Three cards this week, are you keeping count? I wouldn't, I don't think it will last much longer, lol.
So for this card I have used K&Co papers, Distress inks, an Inkadinkadoo text stamp that I bought last week (it was on sale though), a Joanna Sheen flower stamp, WRMK gromlets and a resin disc I made weeks ago and didn't use.
Phew! that was some list.

Did I mention trying not to buy any more stuff? But have you seen the Teresa Collins stamp maker kit? It was on QVC, I missed the show but can't help wondering....
Thanks for taking the time to pop over.

PWC - White And Bright

Can I keep it up I ask myself, that's two cards so far this week! It has meant I have virtually ignored everyone in the house though.
Anyway onto the Challenge from Papertake Weekly Challenge - we had to create a card with some white and at least one bright colour.
So this is my entry a black stamped image La Blanche i think with an added Tim Holtz chandalier (mmm... fancy light, you know what I mean). Coloured with fired brick distress ink, painted with a water brush. Simple matting and layering onto black gloss card and red velvet paper.

Done!

Papertake Weekly Challenge Sketch 45

Hi
The idea suddenly came to me, I shouldn't just buy crafting goodies, I should actually be using what I buy. So I am starting the week by taking part in the PWC which is sketch45.

I have used old and new in this card. The stamp I have had for a while and the K&Co papers too. The new is the border punch I bought last week and the ribbon I bought this week to make some flowers. I do honestly intend to craft more, but I keep getting sidetracked by more and more products coming out. Has anyone ever become homeless through crafting I wonder?

Thanks for looking.
