Coffee and Cream Dottie's World Challenge

Well this is my last card as guest designer on Dottie's World. It has been a fabulous experience, even though I was very, very nervous of doing it.
Can I just thank those of you who left such kind comments, they really are appreciated.
So,I hope you have enjoyed seeing what I came up with during this past month and if you are given the chance to become guest designer yourself Go For It!

Anywho, enough of my jabber!

The challenge this week is set by Karen.
The theme for this challenge is to use Coffee and cream on spots or stripes and of course, a Charmed download.
I think I may have got the lot on this card( if you use the term stripes loosely lol!).

Here it is....
The lovely Holly has been paper pieced(in a way, I printed my Holly then traced the bits I wanted in different paper). The shells were cut on my robo onto coffee and cream coloured cardstocks, then cut again using Basic Grey - Pods from the Archiac collection.
Enjoy!

Take care all, TFL

Love is in the Air

Hiya All!

What a beautiful day it is , I don't think there will be much crafting done today!

This is a card made for my DD1's friend. Apparently she always calls her other half Chicken and so wanted a card with this on it.

I hoping it isn't too girly, but I do think it's cute. Hope you do too!

The swirly jig was designed in inkscape and cut on Robo, the chick is from a colouring page off the net and the papers are K&Co.

Apologies for rushing but, you just have to make the most of the good weather when you get it don't you?

Have fun in the sun!!!

Take care

Dottie's World Challenge Buttons or Beads

Hi Everyone!
I bet you have all been enjoying the fun and games over at Dottie's World celebrating the 1st year birthday. All that candy to be won, it's fab, i'll certainly be keeping my fingers crossed.
Anyway on with the regular Sunday challenge...
This week the challenge from Adele is to incorporate any buttons or beads from your stash into your artwork to compliment one of the wonderful Charmed Downloads.

Here is mine...
The original idea was to cross stitch Holly and use my beads to decorate her dress and add to the shading, however it turned out I that the beads I had looked too big for that.
So, I made a shaker card instead.

I hope you enjoy having a go yourselves...

'Charmed' Sunday Challenge

This week's brilliant challenge has been set for us by Juliet, her theme was to create a card with an added Charm (it could be anything as long as it dangles!!) and a charmed download of course.

Here is my contribution...

..with the charm being the lucky coins dangling on the 'rope'.

Materials used:

Bazzil bling cs, black marble cs, my charm ( 2 'coins' cut on my robo from gold mirri card then cuttlebugged, threaded onto twisted x stich thread and tassel made from the same), a Chinese rubber stamp onto red mirri card. With the lovely Madison, coloured with copics and wc pencil.

The backing paper is actually the front cover of a new paper pack designed by Laurence Llewelyn Bowen, cos when I opened the pack the paper I thought would be great for this image isn't included. Duh! How dumb am I?

I really loved making this card, thanks for looking.

Mojo Monday Contest Week 85

Hi All,
it's a new sketch over on Mojo Monday this week. Again I have used one of my Annie stamps.

This is what I made from it.

I have used various papers and card for this in peach and pink tones including Brenda Pinnick and create and craft. The scallop edge was cut on my robo from peach marble card which doesn't seem to show here, lol.

The ribbon and pearls are just from my ever growing stash.

Angel Annie

Well here she is... Angel Annie, just one of the of the adorable stamps from the Delectable stamp range at Charmed Cards and Crafts.
This is my first finished card using my new stamps.

I cut the green triangle shaped card with my robo, matted and layered some card and K&Co Wild raspberry papers and stuck them onto my plain green base. Then I sprayed the whole lot with Crafters companion Spray and Sparkle. Angel Annie was coloured with wc pencils and copic markers with added... yup! glamour dust on her wings. You can't see very clearly on this pic but there are some added red and lime coloured gems, the little gold star and sentiment finish it off.

I am really pleased with the result, but then again could you make a bad card with such cute images, I think not!

TFL, take care

Dottie's World Challenge - Inspirational

Good morning!

It's been an exciting weekend for me this weekend. Like many of you i'll bet, my new stamps of Annie arrived and isn't she is adorable? That was my first bit of excitement, Lol.

The second was being asked to be this month's guest designer on Dottie's World!!!(Thank you so much for asking me).

Anyway enough of me dancing round the room..

This week's challenge was set by Lou and it's an inspirational, dreamy, photo.

Take whatever element inspires you from the photograph, it could be all the colours, just one of the colours, the swirls or even the see through nature of it, there’s no rules really, just see what it inspires you to do. Oh and one of the downloads of course!
If you are anything like me you will be tying yourself up in knots with the endless possiblities, it's a fantastic photo.

Here is what I eventually made from it...

I used my Tim Holtz alcohol inks with blender solution onto glossy photo paper , for Dottie's painted wall. Dottie herself was coloured with copics and the backing paper is K&Co. I used my robo for the tag to write the sentiment, added a few ribbons and punched mirri board corners. That's it done!

Both the digi stamps and the Annie (delectable) rubber stamps are available from Charmed Cards And Crafts, nip over now and take a look.

TFL, take care
